These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and TwinPet (“we”, “us”), the company behind the TwinPet app and the twinpet.ai website (together, the “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. What TwinPet is
TwinPet turns a photo of your pet into an animated desktop companion that lives on your Mac or Windows computer. Some features are free; others require a paid subscription. We add and improve features over time, and we may change or retire parts of the Service.
2. Who can use it
People of all ages may use TwinPet. If you are not old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf. If you purchase a subscription or another paid feature, you confirm that you are authorized to use the selected payment method. If you use TwinPet on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you’re authorized to accept these Terms for it.
3. Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at support@twinpet.ai if you notice unauthorized use.
4. Payments and Merchant of Record
Our order process and payments are handled by our reseller Paddle.com (paddle.com). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all purchases — that means Paddle, not TwinPet, sells the subscription to you, handles billing and taxes, and issues receipts. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s Buyer Terms. We never see or store your full card details.
5. Subscriptions, renewals, and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime from the link in your Paddle receipt or by emailing support@twinpet.ai. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
- Prices are shown at checkout. If we change a plan’s price, we’ll give you notice before it applies to your next renewal.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
6. Your license to use TwinPet
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use TwinPet for your own enjoyment. You agree not to:
- resell, rent, or redistribute the app;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with it, except where the law says you may;
- use it to break the law or infringe someone else’s rights.
7. Your photos and content
You keep all rights to the photos you upload. You grant us a limited license to process them only to create and run your TwinPet. How we handle photos and personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. You’re responsible for having the right to use any photo you upload.
8. Our intellectual property
The TwinPet app, brand, artwork, and animations are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms don’t give you any rights to our trademarks or content beyond using the Service as intended.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it running and to make your companion look great, but we can’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a generated result will match your expectations exactly. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, TwinPet won’t be liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
11. Termination
You can stop using TwinPet at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or misuse the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (like sections 6–10) continue after termination.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make a material change, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use TwinPet after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
